For the past decade, The Walls Project has helped shape Baton Rouge’s creative community by breaking down barriers and opening doors for artists, makers, and young creatives. As the organization approached its 10-year anniversary, the team wanted a brand expression that could celebrate that journey while inspiring the next generation to see themselves as part of the city’s creative future.
Working closely with the team, we embarked on an intensive 24-hour sprint to develop a name and brand system for the celebration. The focus was on capturing the energy of the community—its creativity, resilience, and sense of possibility—in something that could immediately come to life across the anniversary events.
The result was Breaking X, a brand that honors ten years of impact while pointing toward what’s next. Designed as a flexible system, it gave the organization a way to celebrate the milestone through events, visuals, and storytelling—while reinforcing its mission to break down barriers and create space for Baton Rouge’s growing creative class.
